Our Practice
Berryhill Surgical Center performs cataract and LASIK/PRK surgeries, along with SLT and YAG procedures. We are the first and only office based surgery center in the River Region. In 2005, we began in-office LASIK/PRK procedures, then in 2019, added in-office cataract surgery. Our office allows patients to avoid hospital wait times, receive excellent care with quality staff, and enjoy a clam, relaxing atmosphere with the confidence of great results. Our patients enjoy the care from a friendly, knowledgable staff and a highly skilled, experienced surgeon.
Meet Our Surgeon
Dr. Stewart Shofner
Dr. Shofner is a graduate of Harvard University who completed his medical residency at Yale, following medical school at the University of Virginia. He participated in the first Excimer Laser procedures as a corneal fellow at LSU. He is recognized by his peers as one of the outstanding Board Certified Ophthalmologist and LASIK and Cataract Eye Surgeons in the United States. Dr. Shofner recognizes that fear of surgery is the patient's greatest concern. Therefore, he carefully evaluates each patients vision to provide them their best options. He answers all questions and never pressures anyone to have surgery.
