Our Practice
Berryhill Surgical Center performs cataract and LASIK/PRK surgeries, along with SLT and YAG procedures. We are the first and only office based surgery center in the River Region. In 2005, we began in-office LASIK/PRK procedures, then in 2019, added in-office cataract surgery. Our office allows patients to avoid hospital wait times, receive excellent care with quality staff, and enjoy a clam, relaxing atmosphere with the confidence of great results. Our patients enjoy the care from a friendly, knowledgable staff and a highly skilled, experienced surgeon.
Meet Our Surgeons
Jack Parker, MD, PhD
Jack S. Parker is the only American ever trained at the world-famous Netherlands Institute of Innovative Ocular Surgery (NIIOS) in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He is recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities in the treatment of Keratoconus and Fuchs Dystrophy and is the author of hundreds of books and scientific articles on these and related conditions.

Philip Dockery, MD MPH
Philip W. Dockery is an Alabama native who was a swimmer for the University of Alabama while earning an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering. He attended medical school here in Birmingham at UAB Heersink School of Medicine. He completed an ocular oncology research fellowship at the world-famous Wills Eye Hospital. After residency, he returned to Alabama with his wife and children.
